Te Henga Hillary Trail Running Photography.

The Te Henga is part of the Hillary Trail – a beautiful and rugged walk/ run that reveals stunning views of Auckland’s wild West Coast. Being so close to the city and offering all types of terrain, this track is a real asset to the region.

Sir Ed himself said “In some ways I believe I epitomise the average New Zealander: I have modest abilities, I combine these with a good deal of determination, and I rather like to succeed.” These typically modest words were spoken by arguably the most famous New Zealander – a sporting and adventure hero, who scaled heights and reached places where no human being had gone before. And hence the pull of the Hillary Trail for so many today: we all want a challenge! – The Hillary.

This shoot is by Paul Petch an Auckland City based commercial photographer, art director and producer. The location was on the Te Henga trail and a personal record for Rachel of the utter joy for the best sport in the world. Trail running.
