The large numbers were testament to a great event… or is it a growing movement?
“Reel Wild is New Zealand’s first film festival solely dedicated to trail running. The first ever event took place at the iconic Hopetoun Alpha in Auckland, on April 18 (followed by a super sweet trail run in the Waitakere Ranges the following day, for event attendees).
The idea was to create the laid back atmosphere of the post-run catch up with friends: get together with like-minded individuals, watch some amazing trail running films, drink some mighty fine beer, eat something delicious, and share the love for the sport in a relaxed manner.” – www.reelwild.com
GPR headed along to show our support, mingle, share some creative LOVE, and get inspired. Our roving Editor Naresh Kumar was there to tell his own story while introducing the Barcley Marathons movie. Yes, we are biased but Naresh’s story was a perfect end to a full day of great story telling
Overall, the Reelwild event delivered so much more than ‘just a movie night’ and the large numbers were testament to a great event… or is it a growing movement? Here are a selection of the videos shared throughout the day.
GPR looks forward to supporting the Reelwild event heading into next year in some way, and you never know, we might just have our own story to tell.
