This weekend was great. On Saturday a few of the GPR crew ran the amazing Riverhead Rampage trail run (who we are supporting) near Auckland and then Sunday a mellow shoot to show off our Wilderness Truckers and GPR hoodies at Kitekite Falls.
We originally had a beautiful model booked for Sunday who at the last minute called and bailed. Don’t you LOVE getting up for sunrise after a big run the day before, to find out your model can’t make it? (#firstworldproblems) Some old ugly dude stood up the challenge though and pulled it off with the finesse only a man embracing midlife crisis could :) Ha!
No running though as my legs were kind of hating me with love. If you know what I mean. For all of you camera geeks out there- most of the shots were captured on a 30+ gear old manual Bronica lens and we are in LOVE with it. I can also confirm Nike Frees do not belong near anything that constitutes dirt. So yes people. I was one of those ‘tourists’ on Sunday…. and lets not talk of it again shall we?
The Wilderness Team Truckers since being reduced to just $19.50 are shipping like crazy. At the Riverhead Rampage there were so many people wearing them that it made me smile. Lots. The GPR hoodies actually sold out within a week of being printed, and we are not sure if we will do another run just yet. If you want one then email us to express interest.
A big thanks to our friend Annupam for helping with the shoot, and if you are looking for good quality images from Riverhead, we ran it and took no photos. Allan from Photos4sale took care of runners images and are over here. Also a massive thanks for the RIVRAM crew for caring so much about giving back and the running community. You guys have something very special there and clearly made with authenticity and LOVE.
Flying in from the South Island Kate, who is travelling around NZ from the UK wanted to run the RIVRAM and talk about getting involved with GPR. So we met up that morning! Being a talented illustrator, you can expect some groovy collabs moving forward. Brand ambassador Carolyn coming off an injury also ran hard in the 10KM just a few minutes from the womens first position. I reckon you are hooked on the dirt buddy!
Grab the truckers here yo!
