For our sixth podcast GOOD PEOPLE RUN™ talk with Andrew Hutchinson who has just published a world first – the complete history of XC running. We talk about where XC running started, where it’s at, the state of popular running, and where it’s heading.
A historian, educator, coach, and runner, Andrew Boyd Hutchinson was disappointed to find there was no history book on the shelf for XC before penning his inaugural edition of “The Complete History of Cross-Country Running” in 2012. His fascination with history and athletics has led to coverage for “Track and Field News”, “METER Magazine” (an imprint of Tracksmith), and the “Adventure Projects” network. He has connected with coaches and athletes of all abilities in the course of his research, and is currently based in the Bay Area.
